Subsequent to the Tourism Stakeholder Engagement held in June 2019 where a number of issues pertaining to the development of the destination were highlighted, the Ministry of Tourism (MT) has prepared a draft Project Management Plan which will serve to guide the preparation of the Destination Management Plan for the Negril Resort Destination.

As was indicated at the consultation held in June, the next step in the process would be a series of targeted consultations with key stakeholders in Negril. Due to the tight deadline for the preparation of the Plan, the Ministry is proposing the period September 17 to 21, 2019 for the these consultations which will also include on the ground surveys.
